5 Steps to GLOW UP your Social Media Marketing

1 – PAID SOCIAL
Do you use paid video ads as part of your brand’s marketing strategy? There are two custom metrics you need to incorporate into your reporting to easily measure the overall effectiveness of your video content.
We’ve implemented this for a range of clients across different industries. Let us tell you that these have been a game changer. It’s made all the difference in optimising our video creative based off initial attention span of the audience.
HOOK RATE – This metric tells us ‘how good’ the ad is at making people stop the scroll.
- This is measured by: 3 second video plays divided by Impressions
- Anything 25% and above is great!
HOLD RATE – This metric tells us how many people are watching the ad beyond three seconds.
- This is measured by: ThruPlays divided by Impressions
- When it comes to KPIs, the higher the better!
2 – CALLS TO ACTION
When it comes to building community with your audience, it’s all about making the most of every touchpoint and leveraging opportunities to ignite conversation. When posting reels to your account, we suggest including the ‘add message’ button before hitting post. This will add a call to action button to your post [just under your video and before your caption]. This plants the seed for more DMs and enquiries.
3 – VIDEO CONTENT CREATION
There’s no magic formula for content creation, but consistency is the secret ingredient to every successful social strategy. Creating cohesion that echoes throughout your brand’s voice, as well as the visual look and feel, is essential for brand awareness to foster recognition across all marketing channels.
When creating video content that reflects brand guidelines, many struggle to maintain consistency with video brightness. To avoid any excess contrast, simply swipe across to the right to remove the ‘HDR’ filter and settle on the ‘Paris’ filter to return to normal colour contrast levels… thank us later!
4 – ACCOUNT FEATURES
Take tagging to the next level with Instagram’s new feature that supports community over competition. When publishing a piece of content, hit the ‘Invite Collaborators’ button. This enables you to essentially partner with other brands on your post, which means you get DOUBLE the visibility as these collaboration posts will be seen across multiple audiences [ie. yours and your partner/s] as well as featuring on both feeds too!
5 – META BUSINESS SUITE
This is arguably one of the easiest hacks, but also the most overlooked.
On the Homepage of Meta Business Suite, scroll down to ‘explore more ways to grow’ and invite people who have engaged on your content to like your brand’s page to build your social following.
